eligibility requirements
applicants must:
1. Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university by the first day of TAP’s summer training. International degrees must be translated.
2. Pass hiring requirements, as outlined by our school partners, including a background check and drug testing.
3. Reside in South Florida at the time of enrollment.
4. Have a valid work authorization.
*Candidates with international degrees must complete an Accuplacer ESL exam, as required by MDC, to demonstrate English language proficiency.

Enroll in the Teacher Accelerator Program to begin a one-semester course which prepares aspiring educators to teach in K-12 classrooms.
3. start teaching
Obtain your initial certification, and secure a teaching position in Miami public, charter, or private schools.
2. summer training-$5,000 stipend
Gain hands-on experience by teaching summer school with veteran educators and receive high-quality, ongoing professional development.
4. ongoing mentorship
TAP Teachers will have access to professional development resources & networking opportunities.
